Taking Stock

Since it's the start of a new month and the first is a good time for making plans and taking stock of where you're at and what you need to do, I thought I'd note what I need to do in the near future and where matters such as submissions/writing stand (especially with the latest story out the door yesterday).

1) It's not two stories I've got in circulation at the moment. It's four.
a) "Mother Of Exiles" out at Interzone - emailed yesterday
b) "Romeo, Unbound" out at Asimov's - snailed at the end of March
c) "Grave Robber" to Quantum Muse - emailed mid-April
d) "Sorrow Fruit" to Borderlands 6 - snailed years ago and apparently still under consideration (though the editors are OK with people selling/subbing stories elsewhere and just letting them know to nix if sold)

2) Lawn work tonight and this weekend
a) cutting
b) trimming
c) weeding and feeding

3) Shred the Third tonight with the family
4) Spider-Man 3 possibly Sunday
5) Work on Fallen -- especially in light of the latest Novel In 90 round starting today.

I don't want this to turn into another novel that consumed me.

6) Watching the Cavs-Pistons on Saturday evening
7) Watching volleyball Saturday morning as my youngest competes at States at U-M Dearborn

It's a start. And a busy weekend.
