Switched Mail Apps

Just couldn't take Entourage any longer because of the spam and I switched over to Mail, which comes with the Mac OS. Still have some saved mail in the Entourage folder structures, so I'll need to keep the dinosaur around for a bit and migrate what I need when I need it, but I'm so happy with the different right now.

Address Book looks OK as well. Weird having it separate from the actual mail application, but its versatility looks promising.

I'm still a Word guy, though, when it comes to writing. Change is glacial, but it's still change.

World Fantasy Prep

Making the last preparations for World Fantasy.

Flights are set. Need to find someplace to stay Sunday evening, as I'm returning on Monday now. Might be able to get my hotel to let me stay an extra night. I'll find out when I get there. Still trying to make sure I've got the transportation issue resolved. I sent in my membership services form for the airport shuttle, but I hadn't heard back on that. Sent emails today to the con chair and First Duty.

I'm almost finished with reading The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. I'm going to bring The Orphan's Tales along to read on the flights and when I've free moments. Wolfe and King will have to wait until I get back from the trip. I've submissions to read for the UWG meeting on the evening of 11/5. My first of three official probationary meeting. Only two pieces to read so far, and I've printed those out to tackle this weekend. I'll have my computer with me at the convention, so I'm going to continue work on the new outline and the "Sacrifices" rewrite. I received some good feedback this past Monday on the partial at my first UWG meeting, and I'm looking forward to tightening it and minimizing the intentional tense shifts so they're not so bothersome.
