Fallen Update

Tonight's wordage wasn't as much as I'd like, but I had to share the computer. Three pages. Puts me at 67 total on the rewrite, and I've stepped the total pages* down to 150,000. I'm not sure how many pages I'll get at the end, so writing "The End" sometime around the end of March (or sooner, knock wood) will determine where matters stand.

I'd feel cheated because the story wasn't finished. :-(

I would feel the same. It's a bit like Pirates of the Caribbean II, it was only made as a tease for number three.

In relation to the length of a book, I am reminded of a quote from the book Calendar in which someone, in ancient Greece, said about the length of a play, "The tragedy will take as long as it takes."

I believe every story has a natural length. When you get to the end you feel one of three things, that was too short, that was too long, or that was great.

Your mantra is correct, get it written and then get it right.

Good luck with the writing and re-writing.
