Somehow, before I finished last night around 1:25, I had gained two pages on this penultimate chapter, despite cutting like mad. And while the TOC shows this final chapter starting on page 426, the material I moved from two chapters back actually puts the page count at 434.
I know I've got 22 pages of good material left before the rewrite starts in earnest. And even that needs expansion.* It's funny how two different processes -- addition and subtraction -- work together during a creative process.
Six days left, counting Easter Sunday. While I don't know where the word count ends, I know the time limit I've set for myself. Almost exactly 135 hours between now and midnight at the end of the day April 8. It's one day more than the Novel In 90 time frame.**
The death march commences.

Novel In 90 Goal
108,500 / 67,500
* - Rule #3. Hold nothing back.
** - What I originally thought was 10 days and 2 days a couple entries back was actually more like 10 days and 8 days. Forgot that NIN isn't exactly 12 weeks. The extra six days isn't a full week, so my mind discounted it. Besides, you can't drive holding the steering wheel at 10 and 8. :-)
