Question

Submission sent to Asimov's was rejected. What are the odds that it was looked at by editor at Analog since they virtually have the same mailing address. Do Sheila and Stanley every collaborate on things to cut down on consideration time or do they share first readers?

I only ask because September's end is so far away and I'd hate to trundle "Romeo, Unbound" off to WotF without trying another market first. If I missed the 9/30 deadline, there's always a new quarter.

They don't share first readers, and they don't commingle slush piles. There is almost NO chance that Analog editor saw anything from Asimov's pile, and vice versa.
