Question

Submission sent to Asimov's was rejected. What are the odds that it was looked at by editor at Analog since they virtually have the same mailing address. Do Sheila and Stanley every collaborate on things to cut down on consideration time or do they share first readers?

I only ask because September's end is so far away and I'd hate to trundle "Romeo, Unbound" off to WotF without trying another market first. If I missed the 9/30 deadline, there's always a new quarter.

Thanks.

First readers don't really bother me. Gatekeepers are chosen by the someone in charge, so they've got to have similar tastes. My reject from Asimov's was a form letter, but signed by Sheila. Not going to even try to interpret what that does or doesn't mean since it doesn't matter one way or the other unless they both used one and the same person.
